How to Download Google Maps for Offline Navigation - Android and IOS

In Android phones Google Maps being one of the most and accurate maps lacks a feature for offline navigation.Though you can save Google maps for offline view they cannot be searched and no navigation directions are given. So Google Offline Navigation should improve a lot because many other applications are doing well in providing voice based navigation instructions and many more features which are not Provided by Google maps.

Coming to the point directly to save maps for Offline Viewing just follow the below steps

Save using OK MAPS  instruction :

• Place the area on the which you wish to save for Offline Viewing.
• Now in the search bar just type 'ok maps' and search
• It will display Pre-loading maps.

• Now that part of map is saved for Offline use.

Note : If you select a large area it may end up saying to Zoom in so zoom in and try 'ok maps'

These maps cannot be erased individually.If you over save the apps you must clear the app data.So save maps only if necessary.

Note: You can not search places when you are offline, No routing and directions Instructions are given. 

Another way to save Maps : 

• Search for a restaurant or a place.
• Google Maps Some time "Make this area available Offline"
• Now that part of the map can be viewed offline.
